Testimonials

I love everything about IXL: being able to measure individual student progress remotely, giving students early opportunities for success paired with later incentives to challenge themselves, having easy-to-search skills organized by level and topic, providing feedback to help students with incorrect answers, everything! My students' grades have vastly improved with the ability to practice skills, get immediate feedback, and be evaluated on the accuracy of their answers in real time.

FAQs

How do I see answered questions on IXL? ›

Scroll down to find the IXL accomplishments section. Here, you'll see an overview of the student's IXL usage (questions answered, time spent, skills practiced) and a breakdown of math and ELA skills they've worked on. Pro Tip: Hover over the pie chart to see how many skills have been practiced in each strand!

How to get 100 on IXL? ›

Students will need to answer as many as 10 questions correctly in a row to achieve mastery. For most skills on IXL, students will have to complete a minimum of 28 questions to earn a SmartScore of 100. When a student achieves a score of 100 on IXL, you can feel confident that they have truly mastered that skill.

Can teachers see answers on IXL? ›

The Student Quiz Results report will show the number of questions they got correct, their score for the quiz, and the amount of time they spent on it. Below that you can review individual questions they answered, which display their answer and the correct answer.

What is a 100 smart score on IXL? ›

A skill is mastered when the SmartScore reaches 100, but the number of questions it takes to master a skill varies with every student. To continuously motivate students, IXL recommends setting other practice milestones along the way to mastery. A score of 80 is proficient, and a score of 90 is considered excellent.

Does IXL get harder? ›

It's calculated based on question difficulty, answer accuracy, and consistency. When your child is getting the hang of the concept, their SmartScore will increase, and their questions will get harder.

How stressful is IXL? ›

With IXL, it is possible to never be done with homework. If a student is required to get to a SmartScore of 85 and are struggling with a concept, it would take them far longer to complete than the 20 questions of book work. Some students of BAMS agree that IXL is causing them too much stress.

Is IXL good or bad? ›

Conclusion: Despite its popularity, IXL falls short in delivering a truly effective learning experience due to its limited engagement, lack of personalization, and inadequate feedback mechanisms.
