Sprite Pie Recipe is a variation from the great depression era. You only need 6 ingredients and this pie is fantastic. The filling is ooey gooey and bakes into a decadent dessert.
Sprite pie is interesting because it requires minimum ingredients. I was skeptical at first about the outcome. It reminds me of a sugar cookie and tastes delectable. It isn’t excessively sweet and is indeed a luscious pie.

What is Sprite Pie?
You might be wondering what exactly is Sprite pie. It is a surprisingly really delicious dessert recipe.
The original recipe is a water pie inspired by the Great Depression when resources were scarce. This new recipe is inspired by kitchentool on tik tok with a lemon lime twist.
Instead of water, this baked pie recipe uses Sprite. I think you are going to be pleasantly surprised just how yummy this pie is.
Once it bakes, the center becomes caramelized and mouthwatering. It is truly fabulous and uncomplicated to make.

Variations:
- Use Water – You can make a water pie simply by substituting water for the Sprite. This variation will be similar to the classic Depression era recipe.
- Pie Crust – Feel free to use make a Homemade Pie Crust for this recipe.
Step by Step Instructions:
- Step 1 – Preheat your oven. It needs to preheat to 400 degrees.
- Step 2 – Get the pie crust out of the freezer. Pour the Sprite into the pie shell.
- Step 3 – Combine the sugar and flour. Use a separate bowl and add the sugar and combine thoroughly with the flour.
Step 4 – Disperse this mixture all over the Sprite in the pie crust.
Step 5 – Sprinkle vanilla extract evenly on top of the mixture.
Step 6 – Then sprinkle butter on top of the pie. Tip: Utilize a vegetable peeler to easily grate the butter.
Step 7 – Use foil to cover the pie and cut an x in the foil. Peel back the triangles so the crust is protected from burning.
- Step 8 – Bake. The pie needs to bake for 30 minutes.
- Step 9 – After 30 minutes, reduce the heat to 375. Bake for an additional 30 minutes.
- Step 10 – Allow to cool. The cool needs to cool completely prior to refrigeration.
- Step 11 – Refrigerate. After the pie has sufficiently cooled, place in the fridge so the pie can solidify. Serve with whipped topping.
Recipe Tips:
- Rest Pie – Don’t cut the pie until it has had sufficient time to cool and chill in the fridge. This will allow the pie to solidify properly.
- Cover Pie – It is important to completely cover the pie while baking or you risk burning the edges.
- Filling will thicken – Don’t be concerned if the texture of the pie appears to be runny once baked. The pie will solidify the longer it sets and even more once refrigerated.
How to Store:
Cover tightly and place the pie in the refrigerator up to 5 days.
