You'll be hard pushed to beat the Samsung A15 based on pure value – it's part of the Galaxy range, but far undercuts the premium S-series.

There are obvious compromises to be made, but if you're not too bothered about the latest camera technology (although it still has three rear lenses, including ultra-wide) or wireless charging, hardware improvements over its popular predecessor could make it an excellent lower-cost option. Samsung Galaxy A55

This is the highest-spec phone from Samsung's 2024 A-range, which aims to combine performance with more affordable prices. Its display is a good size, with a high 120Hz refresh rate to keep content loading quickly for smooth browsing. The main camera has a high resolution and IP67 certification, which means it should be dust-resistant and survive 30 minutes in water up to a depth of one metre.

Samsung Galaxy A35

The Samsung Galaxy A35 is a mid-range phone, one step down from the A55. It has some premium features, including a high refresh rate on the screen and optical image stabilisation in the cameras. It's one of the cheapest phones on the market to get five years of security support guaranteed from its launch date, so you can expect regular security patches until March 2029.

This is a mid-range 2024 A-series phone from Samsung Galaxy, and a step down from the A35. It has great specs for a phone that's now less than £200. It has a thin build and stylish look with a large, bright screen. The main camera system has a macro sensor to improve the quality of close-up shots. It's available with 128GB or 256GB of storage.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+

It’s the middle child in Samsung's S9 range, which includes the 11-inch S9 and the 14.6-inch S9 Ultra. This model, the S9+, has a 12.6-inch screen, which means it’s one of the bigger tablets around. The screen’s 1,848 x 2,960 resolution means it’s a 2K screen that’s sharper than HD.

It charges via USB C and the cable you need is included, but you’ll need to supply your own plug. You get a stylus though, which is nice - especially if you fancy doing some art.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra

This 14.6-inch tablet was Samsung’s top-of-line model from last year, increasing the screen size to 14.6-inches from the 12.6-inch of the S9+ above. Otherwise, the spec is very similar, with the same Qualcomm Snapdragon SM8550 processor, 12GB Ram and 1,848 x 2,960 resolution display.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 64GB

This entry-level tablet with a small screen is currently on sale for the lowest price we've seen in the past six months. The screen has a resolution that's less than Full HD, but the eight-core processor has specifications that are impressive for this tablet's price.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9

This 11-inch tablet from Samsung has a hefty eight-core processor with a max speed of 3.36GHz, which is seriously powerful. This is backed up with 8GB of Ram, which is standard for a tablet at this price.

The model we tested has a 128GB drive, which drops to 99GB when you factor in the operating system and built-in apps. There’s the option to add extra storage with a micro-SD card, too.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ 64GB

This 11-inch tablet has a screen resolution of 1,200 x 1,920 pixels – so it’s around Full HD. The processor has eight cores and is supported by 4GB of Ram, which is about what we would expect from a tablet at this price.

The eight cores are designed for multitasking and to improve efficiency, so the tablet doesn't use the more powerful, battery-intensive cores for simple processes.

43-inch TVs are small by modern standards and if you’re after a 4K TV this is about as small as it gets. They are popular in the UK, and the QE43Q60D is one of Samsung's mid-range sets. It uses quantum dots to enhance colour and while it doesn’t share many other flashy features from more high-end sets, Samsung’s pedigree means it could still be an excellent choice.

Samsung QE48S90D

The QE48S90D is Samsung’s first 48-inch OLED TV. It’s not alone in making smaller OLEDs though, and faces stiff competition from LG, Panasonic and Sony.

Still, Samsung certainly has the pedigree to make the best 48-inch OLED of 2024 and, characteristically of the manufacturer's range, this model has plenty of good accessibility features.

Samsung QE55QN85D

Samsung’s QN85 series has long been populated by TVs with an array of modern features and state-of-the-art display technology. The 55-inch QE55QN85D continues in that tradition, with its Neo QLED screen, Neo Quantum HDR, Dolby Atmos audio and a special mode for next-gen gaming. Plus there's a twin-tuner PVR, so you can record two channels at once to a USB hard drive.

Samsung QE55Q60D

Normally it takes months for a TV to be drop in price enough to be considered a genuine bargain, but this Samsung model is a rare example of a TV not costing an arm and a leg on release.

Though the picture quality isn't flawless, there's still so much to like about this mid-range TV. It offers a range of more advanced HDR formats and solid HD performance. The speakers are good, too, which is often a failing on cheaper TVs. It's a great option for anyone looking to spend around £500.

Samsung QE65QN90D

This large 65-inch TV from Samsung's QLED range uses smaller bulbs in the backlight for better contrast and quantum dots in the display to boost colour. It's easy to set up and use with a great electronic programme guide (EPG). There's also a nice array of features for gamers, as well as voice control and a PVR.

The margins between the best high-end TVs are narrow and you can end up spending more than you need to when the range below is almost as good. It means models like this 65-inch QE65S90D can often be your best bet. It's simple to use, with well-designed menus and a decent remote. This is the first artificial intelligence (AI) cordless vacuum from Samsung. According to the manufacturer, AI mode automatically detects the floor type and controls the suction power and brush speed accordingly.

It comes with a cleaning station – a storage accessory with a charging unit and a self-emptying function – and a telescopic shaft that can be adjusted to suit the height of the user. This model comes with two floorheads – a slim LED Brush+, which can be used with AI mode, and an active dual brush for carpets and hard floors.

Its Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of Ram and a 256GB SSD mean it won’t baulk if you have multiple web browser tabs and other programs open. It weighs just 1.14kg, which is very light for a 13-inch 2-in-1.
