During any trip to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Alabama one of my must-visit places is LuLu's restaurant. I have heard so many amazing things about this restaurant that I had to go to during our visit. Plus I just got the new Gumbo Love cookbook from Lucy Buffett who is the owner/creator/woman in charge of LuLu's. You can imagine how excited I was to try a few of the recipes out on site and see how they were. I knew I had to try this Bama Breeze Drink Recipe while I was there.
It was just too perfect having a Bama Breeze in Alabama! You know how much I love these fun play-on words.

Gumbo Love is Lucy Buffett's newest cookbook, filled with recipes for Gulf Coast Cooking, entertaining, and savoring the good life! This cookbook is one I can see myself working through page by page. Being a Northwest girl I hear sometimes that it is crazy I cook so many southern dishes. I can say that John grew up in Alabama and LOVES southern cooking.
When we got married I decided I needed to learn his favorites from growing up in the south and add a few new things to the rotation. I am so excited to add even more recipes to our menu plan as I go through more recipes in Gumbo Love!
Make sure and read the ten grateful ingredients for a bright lift and happy kitchen at the beginning of Gumbo Love! I feel like I need to write these down and print them for my kitchen. Such great life reminders and kitchen reminders. Not everything is going to turn out perfect and that is ok. Some days it is more about the journey to get there than the end product.
If you are visiting Gulf Shores you have to stop into LuLu's! It is one of our favorite Gulf Shore Restaurants!
